Work Package 2
Data and Measurements: The work package will establish and operate a data collection and management system for EnergyLab Nordhavn integrated in PowerLabDK (www.powerlab.dk) providing real-time and historic data from all energy infrastructures (electricity, heating, and transport) and buildings to other WP’s and public visualizations.
Measurement and collection of data will provide valuable information and input to the development activities of the project, and support the operation of the experiments. The research activities will need information about the grid infrastructures, the buildings and the individual components. This will enable analysis of coherent operation of the different energy infrastructures, development of novel optimization and be basis of development of new design and dimensioning methods. The activities that will rely on data from WP2 includes WP3 (smart energy buildings), WP4 (smart network services), WP5 (district heating infrastructure) WP6 (electricity infrastructure), WP7 (transportation infrastructure) and WP8 (energy systems operation and markets).
The measurements will include multiple types/levels:
The data will form a comprehensive source for characterisation, analysis and development of new smart energy solutions for large, dense and low-energy city areas as well as provide basis for a real-time public accessible visualisation.
A data warehouse and control room solution shall be established in PowerLabDK taking benefit of the existing SCADA and control room infrastructure and considering privacy issues.
The WP covers the full development process including conceive, design, implement and operate.
Tasks include:
