Arbejdspakke 10
Smart components in integrated energy systems: With the overall objective to provide cheap and distributed energy system flexibilities and services, the specific aim of the work package is to demonstrate and analyze the technical and economic feasibilities of providing energy system services by smart remote control of specific Danfoss components, which primarily functions are to provide heating and cooling services in buildings.
The work package will develop specific components and systems, enabling them to provide energy flexibilities on demand, still maintaining their primarily services. This include the implementation of dynamic identification and communication of the actual potential operation flexibilities that can be provide by the individual components and systems within the next minutes and hours, as well as the implementation of optimal, coordinated activation of these potential flexibilities based on energy system needs. This includes:

This include the implementation of dynamic identification and communication of the actual potential operation flexibilities that can be provide by the individual components and systems within the next minutes and hours, as well as the implementation of optimal, coordinated activation of these potential flexibilities based on energy system needs. This includes:
- District heating substation based on ultra-low temperature district heating, providing space heating and domestic hot water for multifamily or commercial buildings.
- Remote controlled valves for regulation of a water based building space heating;
- Utilization of spare heat pump capacity for a supermarket.
Tasks include:
- Heat booster substation for domestic hot water and space heating
- Smart control of water based building heating services
- Time-share utilisation of spare heat pump capacity
