INNOvative tools for Cyber Physical Energy Systems (InnoCyPES), how to benefit from this new project
The transformation towards a fully digitalized energy system requires substantial improvements in coordinated design of cyber and physical systems, end-to-end data processing tools, and enabling changes in policy, incentive and regulatory mechanisms.
The presentation will introduce the concept and activities in InnoCyPES, funded by H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, European Training Networks (Project ID: 956433, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/956433), with the aim to provide world-leading and transferable scientific training to a new generation of 15 high-achieving early stage researchers (ESRs) where through study of various facets of digitalized and interconnected energy systems. The effort will result in a cutting-edge system management platform that covers the entire lifecycle of data for energy system planning, operation and maintenance.
One of the paths towards the platform is digital twins, which involves creating a digital copy of reality. There are already digital twins for optimizing individual parts of the energy system, for example to develop new and better wind turbine blades. However, there is a lack of digital twins focused on system integration and interoperability, which includes the transformation of, for example, wind turbine or solar energy to be used in the power grid and distributed to the individual consumer. The new project will aim to address this.
After the 25 minutes presentation, you are invited for an open discussion on how the project can address your use cases and pain points in your field.

EnergyLab Nordhavn is an association formed on the basis of a large public funded project. It aims at supporting its members’ development and demonstration of sustainable energy technology and solutions in the Nordhavn district of Copenhagen. To this end it aims for Nordhavn to develop into one of Europes leading living labs for sustainable energy solutions, based on components, infrastructure, agreements and cooperation, established by its members. Those are corporates, SME’s, utilities, municipal government and knowledge institutions. Statutes etc can be downloaded here
